MachinesFluent Docs

Quick Start

Start using MachinesFluent for private Windows dictation and AI text workflows.

MachinesFluent is a Windows desktop app for two related jobs:

  • dictate text into the app you are already using
  • process selected or copied content with AI prompts, providers, and hotkeys

The privacy model depends on what you choose. Local speech engines process dictation on your computer. Cloud speech engines, cloud AI providers, and web-search providers send the relevant audio, text, image, or query to the provider you selected.

First Path

Install the app

Start with Install MachinesFluent. The installer targets Windows 10/11, 64-bit.

If Windows shows an unknown-publisher warning, read Windows SmartScreen Warning before continuing.

Try one dictation

Open any text field, start recording from MachinesFluent, speak a short sentence, then stop recording. See First Dictation for the full walkthrough.

Choose where speech recognition runs

Use Local Speech Engines when you want speech recognition to stay on your device. Use Cloud Speech Engines when you deliberately choose a third-party speech provider.

Add AI workflows when you are ready

Connect your own provider in AI Providers and BYOK, then save repeatable commands in the Prompt Library.
